Conference hotel rates for Bed & Breakfast have been negotiated for eChallenges e-2006 delegates and accompanying persons with three hotels in Barcelona - Princesa Sofia Gran Hotel (Conference Hotel), Torre Catalunya Gran Hotel and Expo Barcelona.

The Torre Catalunya Gran Hotel and Expo Barcelona are located beside one another, ten minutes by Metro from the Princesa Sofia. By staying in one of these hotels, you will maximise opportunities to network with other conference delegates, presenters and exhibitors.

Conference hotel accommodation should be booked online as part of conference registration to avail of the rates outlined below.

Please note that Barcelona is very busy the week that eChallenges e-2006 takes place so it is important to book accommodation early. Hotel accommodation can only be confirmed upon receipt of the associated payment.

The rates quoted below include room and breakfast. Hotel accommodation in Spain is subject to 7% VAT. Conference delegates are responsible for any incidentals incurred during their hotel stay and this will be dealt with directly between the hotel and delegate upon check-in.

The Princesa Sofia Gran Hotel is the Conference Hotel, located on the exclusive Avenida Diagonal in the very centre of the financial and commercial district of Barcelona.

The hotel has a Business Centre, mini gym and Wi-Fi Internet access in the lobby and rooms. The hotel is located in close proximity to shopping areas on Avenida Diagonal, Palau Reial and is 2km from the city centre.

Torre Catalunya Gran Hotel is a superior four-star hotel, just a few steps from the central railway station (Barcelona Sants-Estacio) and a few minutes from the Avenida Diagonal, Barcelona's financial and shopping centre. The hotel has a gym, restaurant and bar as well as Wi-Fi Internet access in the lobby and ADSL in the rooms.

Hotel Expo Barcelona is very close to the Torre Catalunya Gran Hotel and the central railway station (Barcelona Sants-Estacio). The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool on the roof gym, a restaurant and a bar.

To get from the Torre Catalunya and Hotel Expo to the Conference Hotel, go to Sants Estacio (L3 Direction Zona Universitària) and get off at Maria Christina station. Exit station and walk 5 minutes to Princesa Sofia Hotel.

Cancellation of hotel accommodation must be in writing. It is necessary to apply an administration charge of €25 for cancellations.

After 12 September 2006 - 1 night's accommodation will be charged in the case of a cancellation.

The full stay will be charged in the event that the delegate does not check in at all but has not cancelled the hotel accommodation booking.
